Onboarding wizard¶
The wizard that runs the first time an Admin signs in to a new organisation. It collects what ZATCA requires on every invoice, then hands you to the dashboard.
This page is reference: what each step records and what happens if you leave it. For the walkthrough, start at Create your account and organisation.
The steps¶

What each step is for¶
Business information. This becomes the seller block on every invoice you issue. The VAT number and business ID are printed on the invoice and submitted to ZATCA, so a mistake here means reissuing documents later, not editing a profile. Sell for — B2B, B2C or both — decides which invoice types your devices may be set to.
Business address. ZATCA requires a full national address on standard invoices: building number, district, city, postal code. The address search can fill these from a map pin, or type them yourself.
Choose plan. See Choose a plan. You can start on Free and change later.
Connect to ZATCA. Needs an OTP from the Fatoora portal, which you get by logging in to ZATCA as the taxpayer. If you do not have it yet, use Skip — you reach the dashboard and can connect later from ZATCA Connections.
Next does nothing on the ZATCA step
On the last step, Next does not move you on while no device has been added, and it does not explain why. Skip is the way forward if you do not have an OTP to hand. This is being fixed.
What you can change afterwards¶
| Recorded in | Change it later at | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Business information | Company Profile | VAT number changes may need support |
| Business address | Company Profile | Takes effect on invoices issued after the change |
| Plan | Subscription | Admin only |
| ZATCA device | ZATCA Connections | Add more devices, one per branch and invoice type |
Invoices already issued keep the details they were issued with. That is deliberate — a cleared invoice is a fixed record.
If you leave the wizard¶
Closing the browser does not lose what you have entered; signing in again returns you to the step you were on. Skipping the ZATCA step is the only supported way to reach the dashboard before setup is complete.
